CLIPPER SHIP CITY OF ADELAIDE

CLELANDS LAWYERS are proud supporters and sponsors of Clipper Ship City of Adelaide Limited, a volunteer run not for profit organisation, dedicated to preserving the historic 1864 City of Adelaide Clipper Ship and making it the centrepiece of a seaport village in Port Adelaide's inner harbour.

The older of only 2 surviving composite clipper ships in the world, it was rescued and brought from Scotland to Adelaide in 2014 by a group of Australian volunteers. The ship is being restored and will soon move from the Bradley barge in the water adjacent Dock 2 at Port Adelaide to its permanent home on the adjoining Dock 2 land.

The team at Clelands Lawyers have assisted Clipper Ship City of Adelaide Limited to negotiate and finalise its lease of the Dock 2 land. Our long-term Special Counsel Sue Biggs, who enjoys rowing on the Port River as a member of the Port Adelaide Rowing Club, took this photo of the ship from the water during her regular morning row in a quad with 3 friends.
