Kate has worked exclusively in Family Law since her admission in 2016 and advises in all aspects of family law including property settlements, parenting arrangements, divorce, financial agreements and child support matters.

Kate is known for providing realistic, practical and empathetic legal advice. She prides herself on her attention to detail and ability to find solutions to the complex issues which her clients often face. She understands that the separation process is emotionally difficult and goes above and beyond to assist her clients to navigate the process and move forward with their lives as efficiently as possible.

While studying and after her graduation, Kate worked at a Community Legal Centre, where she assisted clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Before joining Clelands in December 2020, Kate worked as an Associate to Judge Kari (as she then was) in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. During her time at the Court, Kate developed a thorough understanding of litigation in family law matters, which she now provides to her clients.

Outside of Clelands

Kate was raised on a farm on the Yorke Peninsula and enjoys escaping the city and spending time with friends and family in the country. During winter you will find Kate on a netball court, and in the summer, water skiing on the Murray River.
